DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/FHD-4/6/">Me
son Excitation Time as a Probe of Holographic Critical Point</a>\nby Ali H
ajiloi (Steklov Mathematical University\, RAS) as part of Frontiers of Hol
ographic Duality-4\n\n\nAbstract\nWe study the time evolution of expectati
on value of Wilson loop as a non-local observable in\na strongly coupled
field theory with a critical point at finite temperature and nonzero chemi
cal\npotential\, which is dual to an asymptotically AdS charged black hole
via gauge/gravity duality.\nDue to inject of energy into the plasma\, the
temperature and a chemical potential increase to finite\nvalues and the p
lasma experiences an out-of-equilibrium process. By defining meson excitat
ion time\nt_ex as a time at which the meson falls into the final excited s
tate\, we investigate the behavior of t_ex near the critical point as the
system evolves towards the critical point. We obtain for slow\nquenches di
fferent values of the dynamical critical exponent\, although for fast quen
ches our result\nfor the dynamical critical exponent is in agreement with
the one that is reported for studying the\nquasi-normal modes. Consequentl
y\, this indicates that in this model for fast quenches and small\nvalues
of interquark distances the gauge invariant Wilson loop is a good non-loca
 l observable to\nprobe the critical point.\n
