R ecently all Linear Algebra I sections have switched to an active learning approach\, with significant components of in-class peer collaboration and full-class discussion. However\, the majority of instructors who teach Lin ear Algebra I are graduate students and postdocs with limited teaching exp erience and exposure to active learning teaching methods. In this session\ , I will share with you my program for onboarding instructors to teach an active learning course\, that includes an instructor course design manual\ , peer observations and mock teaching sessions.
