 \nI will discuss recent work with Ruben Minasian and Yi Zhang on six-dimen
 sional exotic supermultiplets. The main focus of the talk will be on the r
 elationship between these multiplets and exceptional symmetries. In partic
 ular I will discuss the non-existence of a standard spacetime "section" fo
 r these theories and how the exotic graviton appears in the SL(3\,R) Ehler
 s symmetry term in algebraic decompositions to three dimensions. I will al
 so present an overview of arguments suggesting that the dynamics of these 
 theories may not reduce to those of supergravity in five dimensions and sk
 etch a proposed construction which connects them to three-dimensional supe
 rgravity.\n
