 inflaton potential\, the oscillation amplitude of the inflaton field stays
  almost constant for many oscillations\, so that the field returns repeate
 dly to the plateau. This has drastic implications on reheating dynamics: t
 he leading channel of particle production is a tachyonic instability of th
 e inflaton field itself. This leads to an almost instantaneous reheating.
