DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/CJCS/80/">Ra
inbow structures via topological methods</a>\nby Zilin Jiang (Arizona Stat
e University) as part of Copenhagen-Jerusalem Combinatorics Seminar\n\n\nA
bstract\nGiven a family of structures\, is it possible to choose an elemen
t from each structure to form a new structure of the same kind? This new s
tructure is poetically called rainbow because we can think of each given s
tructure in a different color. Some long standing combinatorial problems\,
such as transversals in a Latin square and the Caccetta–Haggkvist conje
cture\, are rainbow in nature. In this talk\, we will discuss a line of at
tacks to related problems via algebraic topology.\n
