DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/CCTP_HEP/55/
">Lorentz invariance in Framids as a potential technical analog of the CCP
</a>\nby Ioanna Kourkoulou (Columbia) as part of CCTP HEP Seminars\n\n\nAb
stract\nThe Framid is a hypothetical system whose ground state\nspontaneou
sly breaks boost symmetry\, however its stress-energy tensor\nretains a Lo
rentz-invariant expectation value on the ground state\, as we\nverify expl
icitly to one-loop order. The mechanism enforcing this result\nis rather o
bscure\; in fact\, we think this puzzle is an interesting\ntechnical analo
g of the cosmological constant problem. I will describe\nour computations
that verify the Lorentz invariance of the expectation\nvalue in question\,
and how these yield the expected result only thanks\nto highly nontrivial
cancellations\, which are quite mysterious from the\nlow-energy effective
  theory viewpoint.\n
