DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/CCTP_HEP/13/
 ">Quantum codes\, lattices\, and conformal field theories</a>\nby Anatoly
Dymarsky (University of Kentucky) as part of CCTP HEP Seminars\n\n\nAbstra
 ct\nThere is a deep relation between classical error-correcting\ncodes\, E
uclidean lattices\, and chiral 2d CFTs. We show this relation\nextends to
include quantum codes\, Lorentzian lattices\, and non-chiral\nCFTs. The re
lation to quantum codes provides a simple way to solve\nmodular bootstrap
constraints and identify interesting examples of\nconformal theories. In p
articular we construct many examples of\nphysically distinct isospectral t
 heories\, examples of "would-be" CFT\npartition function -- non-holomorphi
c functions satisfying all\nconstraints of the modular bootstrap\, yet not
associated with any\nknown CFT\, and find theory with the maximal spectra
l gap among all\nNarain CFTs with the central charge c=4. We also discuss
averaging\nover the ensemble of all CFTs associated with quantum codes\, a
nd its\npossible holographic interpretation. The talk is based on\narXiv:2
 009.01236 and arXiv:2009.01244.\n
