 Abstract\nIn this talk\, I will discuss recent progress in the use of T- a
 nd U-dualities to generate higher-derivative solutions. In particular\, I 
 will show how to use an O(2\,1) boost to obtain the four-derivative correc
 tions to the four-dimensional Kerr-Sen solution in heterotic supergravity 
 for two choices of four-derivative action\, one of which corresponds to th
 e usual Bergshoeff-de Roo action. In the process\, we will see that there 
 is a consistent truncation that can be used to restore the heterotic gauge
  fields. I will then use a simple group theory argument to show the failur
 e of U-duality for solution generation at the four-derivative level in the
  case of the G_{2(2)} coset model obtained from minimal five-dimensional s
 upergravity.\n
