 n entropy are instrumental for analyzing the limits of reliable communicat
 ion for various communication system models. Often\, situations arise wher
 e we have additional constraints on random variables and the corresponding
  entropy vectors due to the underlying model. In this talk\, we focus on t
 he problem of characterizing constrained entropy vectors. Constraints can 
 be entropy equalities or belonging to a particular class of entropy vector
 s\, e.g.\, quasi-uniform entropy vectors. We visit both direct and convers
 e approaches to tackle the characterization problem. The direct approach i
 s to construct entropy vectors given the constraints\, and the converse ap
 proach is to find necessary conditions\, usually equalities and inequaliti
 es\, for entropy vectors given the constraints.\n
