Yiwen Pan (Sun Yat-sen University) as part of Strings and QFTs for Eurasi

tively associated to\, as protected subsectors of their algebras of local
operators\, 2d vertex operator algebras and 1d topological algebras. In th
e first half of the talk\, we will compute Schur correlation functions on
S3xS1 by the localization technique\, where the well-known localization ar
gument needs to be generalized. In the second half\, we propose a way to e
xtract a 1d topological algebra from the torus correlation functions of an
associated VOA χ[T4d]. In favorable situations\, the extracted algebra c
oincides with the deformation quantization of the Higgs branch of vacua of
the circle-reduction of T4d\, or otherwise a deformation quantization at
a different value of its period.\n

\n\nAbstract: In this talk\, I will discuss the supersymmetric partition f

s proportional to N^3\, and it accounts for the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy
of large BPS black holes in AdS_7 X S^4. In particular\, I will explain t

nd QFTs for Eurasian time zone\n\n\nAbstract\nTitle:\nComplete prepotentia
 l for 5d N = 1 superconformal field theories\n\nAbstract: \nIn general\, f
ive dimensional (5d) supersymmetric gauge theory can be understood as a de
formation of the superconformal field theory (SCFT) realized at the ultrav
iolet fixed point. The deformation parameters are interpreted as the masse
s and the gauge coupling constants of the gauge theory. However\, from the
viewpoint of the SCFT\, it is natural to extend the parameter region to t
he place where the original gauge theory description is not valid anymore.
For example\, we can consider the parameter region where the square of th
e gauge coupling constant becomes negative. If we choose such parameter re
gion\, the theory may flow to a different gauge theory or may flows to a n
on-Lagrangian theory at the infrared.\nWe propose the “complete” prepo
tential for 5d N=1 SCFT\, which is valid for the whole parameter region. T
he complete prepotential is constructed in such a way that it respects the
global symmetry of the SCFT and that it reduces to the perturbative prepo
tential found by Intriligator\, Morrison and Seiberg in the parameter regi
on where the gauge theory description is valid. The (p\,q) 5-brane web dia
gram plays an important role to understand the complete prepotential.\n

Marcus Sperling (Yau Center\, Tsinghua) as part of Strings and QFTs for Eu
rasian time zone\n\n\nAbstract\nMagnetic quivers and Hasse diagrams have r
ecently been developed to study gauge theories with 8 supercharges at UV
fixed points. For a given low-energy gauge theory realised via a Type II b
rane construction\, there exist magnetic quivers for the Higgs branches at
finite and infinite gauge coupling. \nComparing these moduli spaces allow
s to study the non-perturbative effects when transitioning to the fixed po
int. For 5d N=1 SQCD\, 5-brane webs have been an important tool for deriv
ing magnetic quivers. In this talk\, the emphasis is placed on 5-brane we
bs with orientifold 5-planes which give rise to 5d theories with orthogon
al or symplectic gauge groups. For this set-up\, I will exemplify the mag
netic quiver prescription and contrast it against a unitary magnetic quive
r description extracted from an O7 construction. An important class of fa
milies considered are the orthogonal exceptional families\, realised as in
finite coupling Higgs branches of Sp(k) gauge theories with fundamental ma
tter. For both classes of magnetic quivers\, I will discuss the associate
d Hasse diagrams for selected examples. Their agreement further validates

 tract\nWe study a T2 deformation of large N conformal field theories\, a h
igher dimensional generalization of the TT¯ deformation. The deformed par
tition function satisfies a flow equation of the diffusion type. We solve
this equation by finding its diffusion kernel\, which is given by the Eucl
idean gravitational path integral in d+1 dimensions between two boundaries
with Dirichlet boundary conditions for the metric. This is natural given
the connection between the flow equation and the Wheeler-DeWitt equation\,
on which we offer a new perspective by giving a gauge-invariant relation
between the deformed partition function and the radial WDW wave function.
An interesting output of the flow equation is the gravitational path integ

coupled to holomorphic Chern-Simons theory with gauge group SO(32) at quan

University) as part of Strings and QFTs for Eurasian time zone\n\n\nAbstr
 act\nA non-trivial S-matrix generally implies a production of entanglement
: starting with an incoming pure state the scattering generally returns an
outgoing state with non-vanishing entanglement entropy. It is then intere
sting to ask if there exists a non-trivial S-matrix that generates no enta
nglement. To this end we study the spin-entanglement in the scattering of
arbitrary spinning particles. Augmented with Thomas-Wigner rotation facto
rs\, we derive the entanglement entropy from the gravitational induced 2->
2 amplitude. In the Eikonal limit\, we find that the relative entanglemen
t entropy\, defined as the difference between the entanglement entropy of
the in and out-states\, is nearly zero for minimal coupling\, and increase
s significantly for any non-vanishing spin multipole moments. This suggest
s that minimal couplings of spinning particles\, whose classical limit cor
responds to Kerr black hole\, has the unique feature of generating near ze
 ro entanglement.\n

in understanding the black hole information paradox have led to the `quant
um extremal island’ prescription for calculating the fine-grained entrop
y of a quantum system entangled with gravitational degrees of freedom. A q
uantum extremal island suggests that a region of spacetime is encoded in t
he quantum state of another system\, like the encoding of the black hole i
nterior in Hawking radiation. We study conditions for islands to appear in
general spacetimes. They must violate Bekenstein's area bound in a precis
e sense (with a simple tensor network picture)\, and the boundary of an is
land must satisfy several quantum information-theoretic inequalities. Thes
e conditions combine to impose very strong restrictions\, which we apply t
o cosmological models. In this talk\, I will mainly focus on the example o
f four-dimensional FRW cosmology with radiation and a negative cosmologica
l constant entangled with an auxiliary non-gravitational Minkowski spaceti
me in the thermofield double state\, where an island appears near the turn
ing point when the geometry begins to recollapse. If time permits\, I will
also briefly explain our results for islands in the two-dimensional model
s of JT gravity in de Sitter spacetime. The talk will be based on work: 20

n\nAbstract\nQuantum curves arise from Seiberg-Witten curves associated to
4d N=2 gauge theories by promoting coordinates to non-commutative operato
rs. In this way the algebraic equation of the curve is interpreted as an o
perator equation where a Hamiltonian acts on a wave-function with zero eig
envalue. We find that this structure generalises when one considers torus-
compactified 6d N=(1\,0) SCFTs. The corresponding quantum curves are ellip
tic in nature and hence the associated eigenvectors/eigenvalues can be exp
ressed in terms of Jacobi forms. In this talk\, we focus on the class of 6
d SCFTs arising from M5 branes transverse to a C2/Zk singularity. In the l
imit where the compactified 2-torus has zero size\, the corresponding 4d N
=2 theories are known as class Sk. We explicitly show that the eigenvector
s associated to the quantum curve are expectation values of codimension 2
surface operators\, while the corresponding eigenvalues are codimension 4
 Wilson surface expectation values.\n

s of four-dimensional supersymmetric gauge theories with simple gauge grou
ps that flow to superconformal fixed points. We restrict ourselves to the
ones without a superpotential and with a fixed flavor symmetry. We find 34
classes in total\, with 8 having a dense spectrum of chiral gauge-invaria
nt operators. The central charges a and c for the dense theories grow line
arly in N in contrast to the N^2 growth for the theories with a sparse spe
ctrum. We find that there can be multiple bands separated by a gap\, or a
discrete spectrum above the band. We also find a criterion on the matter c
ontent for the fixed point theory to possess either a dense or sparse spec
trum. We discover a few curious aspects regarding supersymmetric RG flows
and a-maximization along the way. For all the theories with the dense spec
trum\, the AdS version of the Weak Gravity Conjecture (including the conve

QFTs for Eurasian time zone\n\n\nAbstract\nConfinement is one of the most
important but basic features of non-Abelian gauge theories\, and an intuit
ive and interesting scenario of its dynamics is condensation of magnetic m
onopoles. When we add the topological theta term to it\, more exotic conde
nsations may appear\, which are called oblique confinement phases. In a 4d
lattice model proposed by Cardy and Rabinovici\, such interesting phases
can be explicitly realized. In this talk\, I will uncover its topological
nature based on the recent applications of 't Hooft anomaly matching. More
over\, it has been known that the local dynamics of Cardy-Rabinovici model
shows the SL(2\,Z) self-duality\, but it turns out that the self-duality
does not extend to the global aspect of the original theory. We cooked up
a SL(2\,Z) self-dual theory by gauging a part of the 1-form symmetry of th
 e Cardy-Rabinovici model\, and the self-duality has a mixed gravitational
anomaly. These data give useful constraints to discuss the phase diagram.\

k proposed a generalization of WN algebra by considering the symmetry at t
he corner of the brane intersection (corner vertex operator algebra). The
algebra\, denoted as YL\,M\,N\, is characterized by three non-negative int
egers L\,M\,N. It has a manifest triality automorphism which interchanges
L\,M\,N\, and can be obtained as a reduction of W1+∞ through a "pit" in
the plane partition representation. \nLater\, Prochazka and Rapcak propose
d a representation of YL\,M\,N in terms of L+N+M free bosons through a gen
eralization of Miura transformation\, where they use the fractional power
differential operators. \nIn this paper\, we derive a q-deformation of the
ir Miura transformation. It gives the free field representation for q-defo
rmed YL\,M\,N\, which is obtained as a reduction of the quantum toroidal a
lgebra. We find that the q-deformed version has a "simpler" structure than
the original one because of the Miki duality in the quantum toroidal alge
bra. For instance\, one can find a direct correspondence between the opera
tors obtained by the Miura transformation and those of the quantum toroida
l algebra. Furthermore\, we can show that the screening charges of both th

of projective duality at the categorical level. It has been noticed that d
ifferent phases of some gauged linear sigma models are related by HPD. Giv
en a projective embedding\, this duality can be formulated explicitly by c
onstructing a GLSM describing the universal hyperplane section. I will out
line the structure and application of this type of GLSM in this talk. It c
an be shown\, by analysis of brane transport\, that the HPD is realized by
the Higgs branch of one of the phases. Application of this formulation to
examples such as Veronese embedding\, quadrics\, complete intersections a
nd Plucker embedding reproduces existing mathematical results and provides

Joo Lee (IBS) as part of Strings and QFTs for Eurasian time zone\n\n\nAbst
ract\nThis talk aims to study the way string theory realizes various conje
ctures on quantum gravity. Starting with the F-theory description of a gau
ge theory coupled to gravity\, we will first analyze the limit in Kähler
moduli space where the gauge coupling tends to zero while gravity is kept
dynamical. In such a limit a key observation will be made about the appear
ance of a tensionless string. Focusing on U(1) gauge dynamics for concrete
ness\, we will look into the elliptic genus of this string in terms of cer
tain meromorphic weak Jacobi forms\, of which modular properties allow us
to determine the charge-to-mass ratios of certain string excitations. A to
wer of these asymptotically massless charged states will then be confirmed
to satisfy the (sub-)Lattice Weak Gravity Conjecture\, the Completeness C
onjecture\, and the Swampland Distance Conjecture.\n

symmetric gauge theories with eight supercharges in three\, four\, and fiv
e dimensions in terms of supersymmetric localization. \n\nIn localization
formulas\, there exist non-perturbative contributions from the moduli of

by Kaiwen Sun (KIAS) as part of Strings and QFTs for Eurasian time zone\n\
n\nAbstract\nWe take the first step to classify all 5d (K-theoretic) blowu
p equations -- both unity and vanishing. In particular\, we find the full
set of blowup equations for all rank one\, two\, three and many higher ran
k 5d $\\mathcal{N}=1$ gauge theories and all exceptional gauge theories. O
ur strategy is starting from 5d Kaluza-Klein (KK) theories compactified fr
om 6d SCFTs and translating all elliptic blowup equations to K-theoretic b
lowup equations. Then we reduce the blowup equations by decoupling once at
a time the hypermultiplets in various representations. Interestingly\, fo
r rank higher than one theories\, along one single renormalization group (
RG) flow one does not always obtain all blowup equations from the upstream
theories. Instead\, each 5d theory inherits blowup equations from all its
parental theories in the flow web. We find the 5d dualities are highly no
n-trivially reflected in the map among blowup equations. We also study the
blowup equations near the 5d SCFT point and find the enhanced global symm
etry appears naturally. In particular\, all $r$ fields form Weyl orbits of
enhanced flavor group in the lattice of invariant Coulomb parameters.\n

In this talk\, we discuss a systematic approach to computing the BPS spect
ra of any 5d/6d supersymmetric quantum field theory in Coulomb phases\, ba
sed on the Nakajima-Yoshioka’s blowup equations. We generalize the blowu
p method in terms of both properly quantized magnetic fluxes on the blowup
C2 and the effective prepotential for 5d/6d field theories on the Omega b
ackground. We compute BPS spectra of all rank-1 and rank-2 5d KK theories
descending from 6d N=(1\,0) superconformal field theories compactified on

\n\n\nAbstract\nWe propose a novel procedure of assigning a pair of non-un
 itary topological quantum field theories (TQFTs)\, TFT$_\\pm [\\CT_{\\rm r
ank \\\;0}]$\, to a (2+1)D interacting $\\CN=4$ superconformal field theor
y (SCFT) $\\CT_{\\rm rank \\\;0}$ of rank 0\, i.e.\\ having no Coulomb and
Higgs branches. The topological theories arise from particular degenerate
limits of the SCFT. Modular data of the non-unitary TQFTs are extracted
from the supersymmetric partition functions in the degenerate limits.
 As a non-trivial dictionary\, we propose that $F = \\max_\\alpha \\left(-
 \\log |S^{(+)}_{0\\alpha}| \\right) = \\max_\\alpha \\left(- \\log |S^{(-
)}_{0\\alpha}|\\right)$\, where $F$ is the round three-sphere free energy
of $\\CT_{\\rm rank \\\;0 }$ and $S^{(\\pm)}_{0\\alpha}$ is the first colu
mn in the modular S-matrix of TFT$_\\pm$. From the dictionary\, we deri
 ve the lower bound on $F$\, $F \\geq -\\log \\left(\\sqrt{\\frac{5-\\sqrt{
 5}}{10}} \\right) \\simeq 0.642965$\, which holds for any rank 0 SCFT. Th
e bound is saturated by the minimal $\\CN=4$ SCFT proposed by Gang-Yamazak
i\, whose associated topological theories are both the Lee-Yang TQFT. We e
xplicitly work out the (rank 0 SCFT)/(non-unitary TQFTs) correspondence fo
 r infinitely many examples.\n
