 r beginners (including undergraduates). I will start by a brief descriptio
 n of the Alexander and Jones polynomials of knots and links in the $3$-dim
 ensional sphere. Then I will introduce the concept of an $n$-dimensional t
 opological quantum field theory (TQFT) and discuss algebraic sources of su
 ch theories for $n=2$ and $n=3$. Preliminary knowledge of the following no
 tions is required: a manifold of a given dimension $n=1\,2\,3\,\\ldots$ a 
 manifold with boundary\, a homeomorphism of manifolds\, an algebra\, a mod
 ule over an algebra\, a group\, a category\, a knot in the $3$-dimensional
  sphere\, a link in the $3$-dimensional sphere\, a braid on $n$ strings.\n

 in representation theory of  $SU(2)$\, or\, as it is called in physics\, t
 he theory of quantum angular momentum. They are given by special values of
  hypergeometric functions ${}_4F_3$ and have a geometric limit which relat
 es them with the geometry of coadjoint orbits in the dual space to the Lie
  algebra $\\mathfrak{su}(2)$.\n\nTheir $q$-analogs appear in representatio
 n theory of quantum universal enveloping algebra of $\\mathfrak{sl}(2)$. T
 hey are given by special values of $q$-hypergeometric functions ${}_4\\phi
 _3$ and are instrumental in topological quantum field theory\nand correspo
 nding conformal field theories. They also have a geometric limit\nand are 
 related to the geometry of $SU(2)$ conjugation orbits.\n\nIn this talk I w
 ill start with the definition of $q$-$6j$ symbols\, explain how to express
  colored Jones polynomials in terms of these objects. Then I will focus th
 e relation of $q$-$6j$ symbols with the Clebsch-Gordan integrable system f
 or $\\mathfrak{su}(2)$ and will compute their semiclassical asymptotic. At
  the end I will review results of Q. Chen\, J. Murakami\, T. Yang and othe
 rs on the relation between this semiclassical asymptotic and the volume co
