 ion of non-local effects at a semiclassical level in various cosmological 
 scenarios\, based on an application of non-adiabatic quantum dynamics as u
 sed for instance in quantum chemistry. Systems considered include tunnelin
 g phenomena\, a new observationally consistent version of Higgs inflation\
 , and cosmological back-reaction effects.\n
