DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://researchseminars.org/talk/Imperial-Con

s Jonsson (University of Michigan\, USA) as part of Tropical Geometry\, Be
 rkovich Spaces\, Arithmetic D-Modules and p-adic Local Systems\n\n\nAbstra
ct\nK-stability was introduced in complex differential geometry as a conje
ctural criterion (the YTD conjecture) for the existence of special Kähler
metrics\, such as Kähler-Einstein metrics\, or constant scalar curvature
Kähler metrics. There has been a great deal of recent activity around K-
stability: the YTD conjecture is solved in many cases\, a nice picture for
K-stable Fano varieties has emerged\, and there is an increased understan
ding of the notion of K-stability itself. In my talk\, I will explain how
K-stability can be viewed through the lens of non-Archimedean geometry. Th
is is based on joint work with Berman\, Blum\, Boucksom\, and Hisamoto.\n

LEX FINK (Queen Mary University of London\, UK) as part of Tropical Geomet

nAbstract\nTropical differential equations were introduced in 2015 by Dima
\nGrigoriev\, whose interest was in the computational complexity of\nfindi
ng the supports of power series solutions of systems of linear\nODEs. The
next year\, Fuensanta Aroca\, Cristhian Garay and Zeinab\nToghani proved
a Fundamental Theorem showing that every tropical\nsolution of a different
ial ideal lifts to a solution over a field.\nI'll present this theory and
some of the developments Zeinab\, I and\nothers have achieved since\, such
as extensions to PDEs and connections\nto Groebner theory.\n

y without differential form\, every local system has finite monodromy (Bru
nebarbe-Klingler-Totaro). In work in progress with Michael Groechenig\, we
develop a positive characteristic analog. We¢ll discuss the rank 2 case
and how ideally it relates to isocrystals.\n

 f Tropical Geometry\, Berkovich Spaces\, Arithmetic D-Modules and p-adic L
ocal Systems\n\n\nAbstract\nThe ring of differential operators with overco
nvergent coefficients plays a central role in Berthelot's theory of arithm
etic D-modules over a formal scheme\, as well as in Caro's theory of overh
olonomic modules. It is constructed over the complement of a divisor of so
me smooth formal scheme. We would like to explain how to do such a constru
ction in the case where we have a non necessary smooth divisorial compacti
fication of some smooth formal scheme.\n

n his work on rationality of zeta functions. I will demonstrate their gene

work-style construction of Cartier operation on differential forms on tori

effrey Giansiracusa (Swansea University\, UK) as part of Tropical Geometry
 \, Berkovich Spaces\, Arithmetic D-Modules and p-adic Local Systems\n\n\nA
bstract\nA few years ago Grigoriev introduced the concept of tropicalizati
on of differential equations\, and then Aroca et al. proved that there is
an analogue of the fundamental theorem of tropical geometry\, where any so
lution at the tropical level can be lifted to a classical solution. Unfort
unately\, this theory is limited in its applicability\, since it only work
s with trivial valuations. In this talk I will describe the work of Stefan
o Mereta to build a general framework for tropical differential equations
over non-trivially valued rings\, thus allowing potential applications to
p-adic differential equations. This involves some interesting twists\, suc
h as a tropical variant of the Leibniz rule. We support our theory with a
differential analogue of Payne's inverse limit theorem.\n
