Monogenic functions in infinite-dimensional vector spaces with a commutati
ve multiplication and harmonic vectors</a>\nby Sergei Plaksa (National Aca
demy of Sciences of Ukraine) as part of Hypercomplex Seminar 2023\n\n\nAbs
tract\nWe consider special topological vector spaces with a commutative mu
ltiplication for some\nof elements of the spaces. The consideration of suc
h topological vector spaces is motivated by the\nneed to describe all spat
ial harmonic functions as components of hypercomplex monogenic functions.\
nMonogenic functions are understood as continuous and differentiable in th
e sense of Gâteaux functions.\nWe prove that all spatial harmonic functio
ns are components of monogenic functions taking values in\nthe mentioned s
paces. We describe relations between the mentioned monogenic functions and
harmonic\nvectors in the three-dimensional real space and establish suffi
cient conditions for infinite monogeneity of functions. Unlike the classic
al complex analysis\, it is done in the case where the validity of the Cau
chy integral formula for monogenic functions remains an open problem.\n

Quaternion Quantum Mechanics II: Unraveling the Mysteries of Gravity and t
he Dirac Equation within the Planck-Kleinert Crystal</a>\nby Marek Daniele
wski (AGH University of Science and Technology) as part of Hypercomplex Se
minar 2023\n\n\nAbstract\nWe present quaternion representation of quantum
mechanics that allows its ontological\ninterpretation. The correspondence
between classical and quaternion quantum equations\, permits considering t
he universe (vacuum) as an ideal elastic solid. Elementary particles would
have to be standing\nor soliton-like waves. Tension induced by the compre
ssion and twisting of the elastic medium would\nincrease the energy densit
y\, consequently generate a gravity forcing and affect the wave speed. Con
sequently the gravity could be described by an index of refraction.\n\nThe
ory was created by combining the Cauchy model of the elastic continuum wit
h the PlanckKleinert crystal hypothesis. The quaternion-imaginary Lagrangi
an\, the quaternion motion equation\nand the quaternionic oscillator allow
ed deriving:\n\n- The Schrödinger equation from the functional integral\,
which identifies the quaternion-imaginary\nquantum Hamiltonian.\n\n- The
2nd order wave equation system describing both the bosons and the gravity.
\n\n- The first order quaternionic wave equation system.\n\n- The family o
f the second order wave equation systems describing both the particles and
the\ngenerated quaternionic force-fields.\n\n- The quaternionic continuit
y equation in an ideal elastic solid.\n\nKeywords and phrases: quaternion\

Quaternionic foundations of Quantum Mechanics and spin 1/2 visualization</
a>\nby Chantal Roth (ETH Graduated) as part of Hypercomplex Seminar 2023\n
\n\nAbstract\nThis talk explores the intriguing link between quaternion qu
antum mechanics and the\nmodel of the elastic continuum proposed by August
in Cauchy\, highlighting the potential of this interdisciplinary connectio
n to advance our understanding of quantum physics. We elucidate the deriva
tion\nof non- and relativistic wave equations from the Cauchy theory and H
amilton quaternion algebra\,\ndemonstrating how the quaternion representat
ion of the elastic continuum provides a comprehensive\npicture of quantum
mechanics. This innovative interpretation addresses the ontological challe
nges often\nassociated with quantum theory\, offering a means to generaliz
e and test the theory.\nTransitioning from the theoretical to the practica
l\, we delve into a unique visualization of spinors\nusing quaternions. We
elucidate how the quaternionic representation enables a comprehension of
the\nDirac equation and the concept of spin 1/2\, pivotal to the Planck-Kl
einert model and the Pauli Exclusion\nPrinciple. We present an interactive
simulation of a periodically twisting 3D grid\, visualizing the spin\n1/2
behavior of fermions in an elastic solid.\n\nBy visualizing Dirac spinors
using two orthogonal quaternions\, we illuminate the complex rotation\nbe
havior of spin 1/2 particles\, drawing analogies with the famous Dirac bel
t trick. We define two quaternion functions that represent rotations as fu
nctions of time and distance\, respectively. The visualization of the resu
ltant spinor function as a series of concentric shells offers a illuminati
ng representation of quantum spin\, enhancing our understanding of its beh
avior in both time and space.\n\nKeywords and phrases: quaternion\n
