DESCRIPTION:Title: q-deformed Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov equations\, verte
x models and duality\nby Michael Wheeler (University of Melbourne) as
part of Algebraic Duality Methods in Probability\n\n\nAbstract\nI will dis
cuss certain solutions of the q-deformed Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov (qKZ) equ
ations\, which may be expressed\nvia partition functions in stochastic ver
tex models. After recasting the qKZ equations in terms of generators of th
e Hecke algebra\,\none may interpret the resulting relations as a duality
between two multi-species ASEPs. This leads to a kind of factory for produ
cing\nduality observables\, as partition functions within the vertex model
in question. Several examples will be discussed.\n
